The Winner Announced!!!!!!!!!

Well - I think that would have had to have been one of the hardest things i had to choose between.

I started harrassing the other half on saturday about helping me make a decision as there were just so many good entries - even narrowing it down to just the final 6 was a challenge in itself!!!!

Just to recap the final 6 were :-

for your MOOving lil bums - Jennah Wone
Miamoo - The Love's sewn in!- A. Thompson
Udderly adorable cloth for your lil' moo...- Shay Thetford
Get your Moo on....- Vanessa
For snooze or play, Miamoo is the way - Joanne Symonds
MiaMoo Cloth Nappies, Be Seen and be Green - Mum2Three :)

And after 3 days of doing my head in it came down to a final 2 - which on a closer look actually worked really REALLY well together.

So......The winning phrase is..........................................

MiaMoo Nappies - Be seen, Be Green and get your moo on!!!!!

so Mum2Three and Vanessa have both won a suprise nappy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankyou to everyone for all the awesome phrase's - it definately made it really hard to narrow it down.
Drop me an email and let me know likes/dislikes boy/girl/uni etc :)

Scones - YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!

So, i really had the urge to cook something quick and easy while the girls were in the bath tonight and i remembered back to when my Nanna used to bake Scones all the time and they were the best ever!!!!

So here is the recipe :)

INGREDIENTS

Makes roughly 15 scones

  • 450g self-raising flour , preferably organic
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 100g slightly salted butter , chilled, cut in small pieces
  • 50g golden caster sugar
  • 250ml buttermilk
  • 8 tbsp full-fat milk
  • a little extra flour for dusting
  • strawberry jam and clotted cream, to serve
METHOD
  1. Preheat the oven to 220C/gas 7/fan 200C and line a baking tray with baking paper. Tip the flour into a mixing bowl with the salt. add cubed the butter, then rub together with your fingers to make a reasonably fine crumbed mixture, lifting to aerate the mixture as you go. Try not to overrub, as the mixture will be lighter if it's a little bit flaky. Now stir in the sugar.
  2. Measure the buttermilk, then mix in the milk to slacken it. Make a bit of a well in the middle of the flour mixture with a round-bladed knife, then pour in most of this buttermilk mixture, holding a little bit back in case it's not needed. Using the knife, gently work the mixture together until it forms a soft, almost sticky, dough. Work in any loose dry bits of mixture with the rest of the buttermilk. Don't overwork at this point or you will toughen the dough.
  3. Lift the ball of soft dough out of the bowl and put it on to a very lightly floured surface. Knead the mixture just 3-4 times to get rid of the cracks.
  4. Pat the dough gently with your hands to a thickness of no less than 2cm and no more than 2.5cm. Dip a 5.5cm round fluted cutter into a bowl of flour - this helps to stop the dough sticking to it, then cut out the scones by pushing down quickly and firmly on the cutter with the palm of your hand - don't twist it.You will hear the dough give a big sigh as the cutter goes in. Gather the trimmings lightly then pat and cut out a couple more scones.
  5. Place on the baking sheet and sift over a light dusting of flour or glaze if you wish. Bake for 10-12 minutes until risen and golden. Cool on a wire rack, uncovered if you prefer crisp tops, or covered loosely with a cloth for soft ones.
  6. Serve with strawberry jam and a generous mound of thickened cream.  Eat them as fresh as you can.

ENJOY!!!!! I have been LOL

Today......

Today......well today I'm hoping to work on some uber cute boys nappies. It's really hard for all the little chaps out there as girls naps are soooooo easy to make - ruffles fairies flowers etc but to make a really cute and unique boys nappy takes some planning lol

Cowboys monsters space etc are all running around in my head today - plus I've scored some really cute boys appliqué patterns so I will be giving them a go today!!

So I shall return here later and post up what I've come up with.

I might also pop back with a recipe of 2 of things my girls really love to help cook with :)

Just a little preview for the up comming stocking :)

Well here are a couple of Large Jeans nappies - one boys and one girls. Ive pretty much been working on these all afternoon as there is alot of work in them :)

I havent done the jeans naps for a while - not sure why - but ive got so much cute fabric that i thought owl jeans were called for!!!

I'll hopefully be getting pics of more sneak peaks tonight or tomorrow - man gotta love school holidays :)

We were at the shops today and the girls had a ball - they had a stall set up where the kids could do easter activities and i literally had to take moo out kicking and screaming, mind you that was after 45 minutes of colouring in and the line up of kids waiting for a seat was getting longer and longer lol.
oh well, they are there all week so i'll take them again tomorrow :)

Busy couple of days

Havent really had a chance to post much ive been flat out here embroidering and finishing of the first massive load of customs :)

Always seems to be something going on but im glad i got this lot done right on school holidays as it always seems to slow me down (for obvious reasons)

Adrain - my dear Fiance - has been helping out heaps with the embroidery and doing all of the colour changes etc which he is getting right into lol

I swear if it gets to a certain point he will quit and help out with the business full time given half a chance :)

Not many "likers" to go on the FanPage and i will be announcing the winner here on the blog - to see who gets their dream custom nappy made up!!!

Well after a flying start to the day - I crashed and burned lol

Ive been sick with a head cold for a while now and it hit with full force about lunch time

It didnt help that after school, i took chloe and mia to the shops and they decided to divide and conquer which seems to be thier favourite thing to do atm.

But - after all of that Mia finally got to bring home the little chick that she hatched at childcare today - and its just so damn cute.
She hasnt stopped talking about it since it came out of the egg - even to the point that now everytime i crack one she has to see if there is a chick in there lol bless her

Beautiful day

ahhh what a beautiful day it is here today in melb :) feel some inspiration comming on!! i'll have to see what i can come up with and try and post some sneak peaks up here later on :)

Well this is my reason for starting the business :)

This is my Mia - AKA Moo - this is one of her school photos i picked up today :)

Always the happy little pumpkin that she is and always has a ball playing in all my materials and looking at all the embroidery designs on the computer.

She will see one she likes and then demands it on her blankie which i always oblige to lol
I will have to get another one soon as the one she has is starting to fill up and look a little ragged around the edges :)

Well, I've finally done it!!

Well just like the title says - vie finally done it - I've dived into the world of blogging. As if I don't have enough to do.

So here I will be bouncing ideas, talking about my life and just generally Blabbing on about whatever!!
